I am looking for 7IS, it this the same? And I believe this is another problem than BSODs

Why do you wish install AIS 7? It,s always recommended to use latest version of Avast AV.

Because 8 s**** itself with BSOD on my PC. I think this reason is enough.

Send minidumps/fulldumps file to Avast via FTP server and they tell you what cousing BSOD problems,anyway Alikhan gave you filehippo link for Avast 7 download latest version and protect yourself. :slight_smile:

1:I,m glad you sent mini/full dump files to Avast.
2:No it,s not but you can upgrade to AIS all you have to do is put AIS licence and Avast Free will upgrade to AIS 7.

Thanks for the method, however somehow I would like to have full installation file as well. You know, for the next time it happens…

You cannot download v7 from the given site (at least using ‘Download this version’ button). I’ve tried to download 2 latest versions and both gave me the same installer for v8…

Any more ideas, anyone?

I doubt you,ll get AIS 7,almost all webpages like download.com,softpedia… sticks with latest version,you can download Avast Free 7 from filehippo (7.01474) and upgrade to AIS anyway don,t you forget that Avast 8 is waiting for you.

Have you actually tried downloading from Filehippo? A version that does not download v8?

I always download Avast Free or AIS via Avast.com or forum.avast.com but trust me,you can download Avast 7 (7.0.1474) from FileHippo.

I got that as well, xyzzy.
Also nag screens from Avast! when booting up, to upgrade to version 8.

They are all 105 megs when downloading, which means that they are all ver 8.0.1482.45

So Avast, do I have two options now:

a) run unprotected
b) switch to other software, and demand a refund for remaining time of my license

FYI, it doesn’t work.

After entering IS license, v7 upgrades itself to v8 IS…

Accidentally I work in QA in software industry, and for letting a release roll out without rollback scenario I would feel so much fired before anything wrong happened…

OK, so there is a way to get 7 IS installer:

You need to search pirate software sites for version 7.0.1474. Afted downloading a package with installer, check its signature in file Properties.
MD5 of my file is: avast_internet_security_setup.exe : 6d5751d55673b4bb8753fdf803a39aa5, bytes: 127 444 664

**** you again Avast for making me go to such places, ironically, to enchance my security.
