The worst offender for problems has got to be Panda: people try the online scanner with avast! running and think Panda is trying to infect them. In fact it’s not, as explained in the link- and it’s actually recommended by a lot of security forums because it does remove malware.
Good contribution FwF, but still not sure about the Hauri beta Live Call Suite, with an impressive download of 8.05 MB, and all the plug-ins there?
Like to hear someones’ comment?
Polonus would not be polonus if he would not try out the South Korean beta version of Hauri Live Call Suite, and it really is impressive. I wanted to know why Hauri is a hit in Birma. ;D
I knew my machine was clean, and in the range of viruses nothing was further detected.
The adware scan which starts the sequence found some 19 minor Adware things in the registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft Windows Current version\Internet Settings\ ZoneMap\ Domains\Adware: like: skoobidoo, com , mt.download.com, searchmiracle.com etc.
I have to delve into these finds a bit later. The download of the scan engine takes some time and is a massive 8.05MB on the hard disk as Hauri Live Call Suite. This is the first time first time around , the scanning engine as it is is a good 800-900 kB. The scanning engine is swift. My first impression: not bad at all,
polonus
PS Scanned for signs of Adware CDT and run the tool, but nothing was found. Also the registry in Domains was clean.
