Hi punk,
if you want to upgrade from win 8 to win 8.1 is highly recommend to update avast to the latest version before the upgrade! Otherwise you could experience some problem with win 8.1 apps!

Anyway the version in your screenshot is 8.0.xxxx and the last one is 9.0.2013

Yes it is avast 8.0, but No it isn’t compatible with win8.1.

Download and save the avast uninstall tool
Download and save the avast free set-up file.
Run the uninstall tool from above. You will be directed to reboot into safe mode…click “yes”.
Reboot into normal mode.
Install “avast free” from above.
Reboot and register. :slight_smile:
