Hi,

Hey,
here is the link tot he FAQs https://www.avast.com/faq.php there should be a list in there with the web browsers.
“Should” but there is nothing about supported browsers there. A search for “browser” or “web-browser” does not bring any appropriate ressults.
Someone of the mods or developers should be able answer this question???
Webshield monitors your web activity.
It doesn’t matter how you get to the internet.
please clarify this!
because the activity log in AMS logs everytime the scanned web pages, but only if the web browser is supported from the webshield - see screenshot. If the browser is unsupported, then no scan activity is logged. For me this means that in the second case (unsupported browser) the webshiled is not protecting me .
Am i right?
Wait for someone who speaks German.
What for i need German? On the screenshot is only written how many web pages are scanned. If browser not supported, nothing is displayed there in the activity log.
So every one from the devs or mods should answer which are the supported webbrowsers? . And if unsupported browser is used, then it means that AMS webshield does not protect, right?
I am shocked!
Even Firefox is not supported , so the webshield does not scan web pages open in Firefox >:( :o
please feedback from the devs or mods which web-browsers are supported in Avast MobileSecuruty !!!
So, what is the help ? For me Firefox is not scanned by tthe web-shield
Essentially it isn’t everyone that is experiencing the same problem or these forums would be on fire. So you need to look at other applications/settings that could impact on this.
My default browser if Firefox even on my mobile phone and that works as does Chrome if I use that.
I would suggest that you ensure that the Web Shield is actually running.
However if it isn’t running I would expect Avast for Android would have shown a notification. I know I have had one of these notifications when some setting (battery saver, etc.) shut down functions running in the background
