WHITE interface does not make sense

Can we please revert back to the original v6 colour interface? - the new all-white interface makes the monitor just uses more power for no useful reason, apart from (in my opinion) looking a lot less serious…!

Since i install and forget, and dont sit and look at my AV i dont care much how it looks, just that it is easy to navigate

The GUI in v2014 beta is a lot better than v8.0.xxxx
Just wait for the final release.
As Pondus stated so well I don’t stare at the GUI all day either. 8)

It dont stare at the UI also.

And the UI in version 2014 is in Work right now so there will be Changes during the next versions.

I have sent a reccomendation to avast for an all-black interface(quite cool) but there was no answer. :o Nevermind, they don’t think like me.

avast! 2014 does not have a white interface…

Well I guess his talking about the free version. not >pro

Yes, Free version uses almost white colour scheme  But actually it looks good too, IMHO

Well after I tested the v2014 free b1, I must admit that is far more beautiful then v8 free. With v2014 avast is definitely returning on the right track.

avast! 2014 Free
White ??? Well, maybe in some parts. Certainly is easy to manage and pleasant on the eyes.

From what I see in those pics, even the 2014 Pro version has an inferior LOOK to the Cool one avast had before switching to the regression big time current LOOK.

It could be argued that what matters is how it works. However, having a Cooler LOOK than the competition could be the difference between gaining new customers … or losing them to the competition.

Potential new customers could be there studying, scrutinizing the Info, specs, capabilities of several Anti-Viruses. If after that the various contenders end up in somewhat of a dead heat, the difference COULD come down to which has a Cooler LOOK. Why not cover that base?

I know of what I speak. After a couple of years of using Foxit Reader as my preferred PDF Reader, I dumped it after they dared switch to that Back to the Past, Low Tech, Childish LOOK. You know … since PDF-XChange Viewer was equally capable and had a much better LOOK.

So yeah, I think avast is not maximizing their potential by leaving that base uncovered.
