white screen on opening

Hi … have Avast internet security installed
when i open the avast user interface all i get is a white box/screen
have tried uninstalling and re installing etc … still the same
have updated to latest version … still no joy
does anybody have a fix … !!

Have now uninstalled and re-installed in safe mode
have updated graphics card as advised…
but still get a white screen when opening avast user interface
if i click on subscription interface … i get white screen as in pic
but other tabs … like … General… Components etc show up ! as pic
cant run scans or use vpn etc …

Right click on taskbar at the bottom, then select Task manager, then click on Performance tab, make a screenshot a post it here please

Lol. On Windows 7 the performance tab wil not tell you anything about the CPU or the number of cores. It defaults to one graph for all cores. Someone who has to ask where to find this information is unlikely to have changed that setting.

still exactly the same … keep getting a white screen on opening user interface

that’s really weird. the Chromium renderer cannot load…Could you please try the Windows Safe mode? To be honest I don’t have an easy solution for you as it’s hard to identify the source of problem…

I did try runnung in safe mode … uninstall and re-installed … used the avast uninstall tool

I uninstalled and reinstalled Avast and tried repairing it. All to no avail. Keep getting just a white screen. Any fixes?

Windows is corrupted. That is the answer. You have missed some crucial files. Reinstall.
