White Screen !

Greetings Avast users and Admins,

There is an annoying virus that ur screen flashes white and then it says that u have done illegal actions and u must pay to unblock ur pc.

Well this is virus is easily removed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: even I with few computer skills could deal with with by restoring my pc to a previous restore point

but i had my antivirus ( avast pro antivirus ) open at that time.

looks like it didnt see that one coming :stuck_out_tongue: so i had to restore my pc…

I made this post so you guys deal with it somehow because there are people who dont know how to deal such things :stuck_out_tongue:

what you dicripe sounds like a classsic rought program.

i suggest you follow this guide and attach your logs.

we need the logs from adwclener, malwarebytes otl and awsmbr.

a malware expert will help you from there when you have attached the needed logs.

this is one of the those hard to detect ransomware sort of crap :-\

if he/she could follow this guide the malware expert will have something to go on.

but if it is one of the hard ones might essexbox have some magic tools that could help this user. :wink:
