Hello,
i’m sorry for my bad english… :-[
I want to know what is the approach to a file by avast before erasing, because after a scan, a .mdb file was deleted because it was infected by a trojan (win32:netsky-P).
But, this file is very important for me. I know that avast is not a recover software, i have a soft for that, but i don’t know who avast rename the infected files before delete it.
Thank you for your help…
and don’t laugh for my bad english please ;D

Into avast folder there is a data\moved subdirectory. It could be there.
Other option is opening avast Chest (Quarantine) and see if you sen the file to there.
What action did you do when the virus alert came up?
in the avast chest, it said this :
sign of “win32:Netsky-P [Wrm]” has been found in “c:\WINAPI\GestC.mdb” file.
There nothing in data\moved subdirectory.
At the end of the scan, I think I don’t click to delete, but I doubt now.
If i deleted it, what the name that avast used for my .mdb file ?
is it keeps the same name before avast delete it or rename it?
I don’t know where I can search with my recovery software, have you got an idea?
thank for your reply
Isn’t it the file? You can right click the file, scan again or even extract it to a safe folder and from there submit the file to www.virustotal.com to be sure it’s not infected.
None. The file is unrecoverable deleted.
I don’t think you will ‘find’ that file… but isn’t it the one shown into Chest?
