Who did notice that French - English dont got same requirements for Free, Pro.
In french its doesnt include Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 but English does for Free and Pro.
So what its compatible or no ? Im confused :o…

Yep… However,tomorrow I’ll try at work on a client win2k, if it’s possible to install the italian package that is seem not compatible

Me too i did think of this compatibility if its was related to the language… Kinda strange sometimes. But you dont have to try it if you dont want. Im sure an avast! employee will reply me one day… lol. ;D I hope…

I can confirm: Avast! 6 is working fine on Windows 2000 Professional (SP4+UR1).
I have installed the german version on 2 PC’s - you can see them in my signature.
And one Avast! Evangelist has written me in a PM that Avast! Version 6 has no problems with W2K. At the moment I have no information of the coming Version 7 - we will see what the programmers will give as a minimum system requirement. Hopefully Windows 2000 will be supported…
The german website doesn’t show the Windows 2000 compatibility of Version 6 too…
