Whoop! Whoop! Windows security alert!

Windows gets big security update

One of the biggest security updates for more than a year is due to released by Microsoft to fix 12 software flaws.

Nine of the updates apply to the Windows operating system and one is deemed critical, a rating reserved for the most serious security problems.

At least one of the loopholes being patched is already being actively exploited by malicious hackers.

Windows users are being urged to download the patches as soon as they become available on Tuesday 13 June.

Strange, it’s Tues 6/13 and Widows Updates shows 0 updates available ???

yep, still no updates available…

 Hi all :

They seem to be available the day AFTER the 2nd Tues
of the month or possibly late Tues PM .

Surely there’ll be something later on today. For many months now, MS has always done an update of that malicious-removal thingie even if there’s no other updates on “the day”.

They’re available now.

the windows updates are available like mauserme stated above,I also downloaded them ;D have a good one avast! world

I went back later yesterday and got 'em myself.

This was an odd collection - 8 for XP home. But of those, all but the Media Player one and the Malicious Removal one spent a while “preparing to download”, but in effect downloaded nothing and “installation” was done in a blink. Only the first two I mentioned went through recognizable downloading and installation.

I suspect for those other 6, it was just in effect repairing my installation history, for whatever reason.
