Hello everyone, hope I’m putting this in the right forum…
I’m a new user of Avast Free, and I made a very stupid mistake when registering several days ago - I mistyped my email address, and consequently never received any sort of email from Avast (that’s when I realized what I’d done). Will having the wrong address on file for me be a problem when my registration expires? Is there any way to correct it?

Asyn, when I click on ‘registration information’ per the instructions at your link , there is no ‘register now’ on the right hand side of the screen for me to re-register with, so that won’t work - it says on the screen that I’m registered. Unless you mean to re-register it once it expires next January?
If it shows registered, you’re good to go.
But it’s not going to be a problem at some point to be registered with an incorrect address? I mean, to be clear - what I did was mistype the sequence of numbers in my email address, so if Avast sent me an email at the registered address or does so in the future, it’s going to be sent to someone out there in the ether and I’ll never see it.
The only situation I foresee could be a problem is if you buy a license directly from the application, as it would get registered under the incorrect email address as well.
That could be avoided by purchasing directly from the website and adding the correct email address there.
Avast Free registrations cannot be edited, nonetheless. As far as I know, you might need to re-install Avast to re-register it.
