Why Avast blocks http://www.share-online.biz website and downloads / jdownloader

Hello,
Avast blocks the website and downloads from hxtp://www.share-online.biz

why?

How to report >> https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=14433.msg1289438#msg1289438

I’ll do that, thank you very much.

Same problem on my side. Report it too.

BTW: To disable the web shield is not the best solution;)

Hello!

I had the same problem and resolved it by adding the following URLs to …

Avast
Menu
Settings
General
Exclusions → URLs → hxtp://api.share-online.biz*
hxtp://www.share-online.biz*
hxtp://dlw*.share-online.biz*

and

Avast
Menu
Settings
Components
Web Shield - Customize
Exclusions → URLs → hxtp://share-online.biz*

Just try, if you want!

BR,
Michi

From the support:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Avast.

Our virus specialists have been working on this problem and they informed me that this detection is correct. There’s a hidden JavaScript cryptocurrency miner present on the website “share-online.biz”.

But i use a script blocker and i can’t find the script. Maybe it’s time to say goodbye to avast. Pity a use it a long time more then 10 years:(

Worked for me! Thank you. Not sure if they use their mining-scripts on premium users aswell, but I haven’t noticed anything so far.

The worst part: it even blocks JDownloader trying to get a captcha from SO… and spams the Windows desktop with useless permanent windows.

Yup, it is not only because they use mining scripts (which in some cases can be tolerated), but because they do not inform the user that their electricity will be used in lieu of direct payment.

I can’t add an exception for “.share-online.biz" on mac because avast thinks it’s malformed. However, avast already has an exception for ".icloud.com”.
How can I add the exception on mac?

(I also tried the share-online.biz* as it is mentioned here with the same result)
