Hi, i am using kitty.exe , a ssh client.
The avast in home scan found this as a virus, where as , the avast report on Virustotal.com gives it green mark. How the same search engine give different results.
Both results are supplied herewith.
i have writtent to official site for clarification and got the clarification.
is it a false positive, that my home scan result shows

The Avast antivirus product on your home pc comes with various shields and therefore various layers of protection. Avast on virustotal is providing only basic file scanning.
when using VirusTotal always note the scan date at top of scan result

So in your case a cached result (somone have uploaded and scanned that file before you)

also if you use the new VT website then there is a BLUE button at top right (after scanning) clicking that give you a “rescan” option if scan result is old

Hi, Pondus, i have checked , and avast does not give any red rating. The scan result was furnished by the developers of the program . i have written to them first, why their program is found to be having some problem with avast antivirus and malware bytes.
He has replied that 2/68 was the rating of virus total . I found avast , giving the program green signal. This prompted me to write to this forum.
