Why can't Avast scan it's own dll files?

Help ??? This morning I found avast’s log from last nights schedualed scan indicating about 8-10 dll files that could not be scanned? No results nor actions taken. Googled 2 and both show as avast files. Why wouldn’t avast be able to scan it’s own files

This is the first time this has happened, what is it? and why is it comming up now. I closed the notification log, how do I find that log again? As no actions were taken so it’s not listed in the chest.

Hi puter illit

No real need for a poll

I presume these files are in the defs folder within avast?

Something like this: c:\program files\alwilsoftware\avast5\defs\11012700\algo.dll Error: the system cannot find the path specified (3)

This is not a problem and is simply a result of the previous days definition files being called up to scan and then being cleaned up by avast before they are scanned, meaning that avast can’t find them when they are to be scanned.

Thanks Scott, got me a little nervious when I saw it and didn’t know if I needed to take any actions. As for the Poll it wouldn’t let me post unless I filled it in? Have a great day and thanks for the quick response.

You’re welcome

Regarding the poll, I would guess that you clicked “Post New Poll” instead of new topic?

Nop, selected New Topic. Did not check anything for poll. tried to post 2 times and came back with poll not filled in, so 3rd time I filled it in and it went thru.

wonder why…when I select new topic, there is no indication of a poll, weird…
