Why can't I delete "Select folder to scan" events, that I have setup?

Using Avast 2014

. . . Why can’t I delete “Select folder to scan” events, that I have setup?

If I click on one - like I’m going to run it - the option to “Delete Scan” is there . . .

So I click that, and then it goes to “Quick scan” in the drop down menu, fine . . . but the event / scan is still there. What am I missing?

I suspect that you can’t delete it is because it is a default scan setup by the avast installation.

The fact that it is there doesn’t mean it is going to be using resources, only if you run it does it use resources and then only for the duration of the scan.

The strange thing is that only for user created do you get an option to Delete Scan - I created a Custom anti-rootkit scan. When selecting that scan from the drop down list do I get an option to Delete Scan.

I just wonder if you modified the default ‘Select folder to scan’ it would give the option - but in testing that myself, I didn’t get an option to delete the Select folder to scan.

Select folder to scan is just one of the basic options.
You can select it and adjust it to your needs, but you can not delete it.
Only custom created scans can be deleted.
