why does vista ask for password to log in?

I upgraded to Vista Premium today!

It asked me to create an account which i did and asked me to choose a password, which i did as well!

Every time my computer boots up it asks me for this password. Is there anyway to stop vista from asking for a password? Anyway to choose automatic log in?

Sorry that I can not help as I am still on XP & will be for a couple more years. Perhaps someone else will post the info you need soon.

Exercise care in using this tool the password is stored in registry unencrypted.

[b]DefaultUserName[/b] - Username used to automatically login with. [b] DefaultPassword[/b] - Password used to automatically login with. Careful here. This is left in the registry unencrypted and easily read by anyone with an administrator account
