Why file is excluded?

Hi. Any ClamWin guru on the forum?

I scanned a floppy or as it is called a diskette to-day with ClamWin anti virus scanner, one of the files there was a notepad file containing the results of some queries with Sam Spade’s tool, this was saved there as persistent.log. AV scans this file as 100% OK, why does ClamWin exclude it from its scan. Anyone in the know about this behavior of the ClamWin Scanner. I use it as a second opinion scanner, because it is non-resident. I fed the file to jotti scan, and there all is OK, also ClamWin. I cannot dig this behavior?

See the exclusion list of extensions into ClamWin settings…
Maybe it’s there…

Hi Tech,

You were right, log was mentioned there. 10 points for you.

They are probably excluding files they don’t believe to represent a virus threat (.log, .txt, etc.) to speed scans.
