It happens to be a legitimate video posted by Avast on their blog.
I’m no longer subscribed as I don’t trust Google and will delete my gmail address I’m not going to pay for an email address that spys on me.

Google does as much “spying” as you allow. So do all the other email account suppliers. (MSN, Yahoo, etc)
You control your settings. You therefore control how much information you allow them to access. (There are certain exceptions.)
