Malicious code vectors are fed from respectable websites for hyperlinks where you do not expect these things. That is why you have to have real time scanning of the code there to avoid malicious code.
A hyperlink scanner like DrWeb’s or finjan secure browsing and enabling NoScript and Stealther in your Mozilla type browser like FF or Flock could mean the difference.
Still not convinced listen to this short MP3, and after listening to this you certainly are more aware that there is nowhere to hide anymore: http://media.techtarget.com/audioCast/SECURITY/Security_Wire_Weekly_Special_06_05_2007.mp3
Finjan is not restricted to the FF browser, it works beautifully in my version of Flock, but you have to install it in XP before it runs in the browser of your choice. Isn’t it possible that they scan somewhat more then the browser?!? But there are similar services.

i thought it was just an extension or add-on you install in your firefox browser ::)

click on pic :P
But when you install this add-on, and is a third party one, you have to include the download site as a trusted site in FF or else there will not be an add-on running. Or did you only have downloads from the Mozilla add-on site, these are trusted by default. Maybe that is why finjan would not run in your FF.
It should run inside your frankenfox…

i installed it again..and under tools-options-security-exceptions it is allowed and still doesn't work-the finjan icon is in the bottom right bottom of the status bar but in the tools-add-ons the options is blackened out or doesn't work ??? ::)
Then you must have blocked it with some setting of your AdBlock add-on. Click to see there what it blocks and set an exemption for the finjan gif, else it will work but you won’t see it work.

believe it or not-i don't have all my extensions on yet and adblock is one of them-so what then ??? ::)
this is through my opera browser 8) would siteadvisor or netcraft toolbar be blocking it maybe ???
