wifi-inspector pop-up

I have recently reinstalled avast after several years. One problem is Avast wifi-inspector starts scanning the network on its own. and during this time mt computer is cut-off from the internet >:(. I use a laptop with a dual screen set-up. I want that the wifi inspector should

  • Ask before starting
  • if not start when firefox is not open
  • if not be disabled entirely

@drajitshekher. Two things you can check.

  1. Is Smart Scan secheduled to run daily?
  2. Is Wifi Inspector set to scan home wifi automatically?

I have never had problem of wifi inspector actually blocking internet myself, so maybe you should Repair avast.
Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting>[Repair App]
