Will browser phishing filter work if I disable the Webrep Plug in?

The new phishing filter plug in confuses me, I thought the Web shield covered phishing.

Does anyone know if the new phishing filter (located under additional protection/browser protection/expert settings) would work if I disable the Webrep plug in?

No, the Web Shield actively scans incoming browser traffic.

And yes, you need Web Rep for the phishing filter.
