WIN 10 AVAST Firewall Will NOT go ON

After installation of WIN 10, an AVAST ATTENTION message stated AVAST Firewall is turned OFF.

Prior to WIN 10’s installation, I used WIN 7 and always used the AVAST Firewall, not the Windows Firewall, as having two Firewalls on was not recommended and using your anti-virus software’s Firewall (mine is AVAST of course) was recommended so that there wouldn’t be a conflict.

Anyway, Right now I have the Windows Firewall ON as I cannot shut it OFF and turn AVAST’s Firewall ON.

Anyone found a solution yet?

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Have you rebooted since installing 10 ?
