Win 32 ezula-va (adw)

Just run a scan and Avast has found one virus Win 32 ezula-va (adw). On the left of the page is ( presumably) where the virus is located… C:\documents and settings\All users\Application Data\ Avast Software\Avastlog\nshield.log.
I tried to place the virus in “move to chest” but I got an error message… Error. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (32).
As this is the first virus that Avast has found I cannot understand why I cannot place it in the Virus Chest. As this virus has a “high risk” tag I am concerned and would be grateful if someone could help me please with this problem. There is another option which simply says “delete” but I read on this forum that this is NOT a good idea because it may delete other programmes .

is seem you have some program open…that is using the file…and that is why it can not move it to chest, before you close that program
guessing it may be your browser ?

seem to be nothing serious (adware) http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Adware%3AWin32%2FEzula
can you attach a screenshot of the scan result ?

i guess a quick scan with Malwarebytes will remove this…

Hi Pondus,
Thanks for your quick response. Sorry for the delay but the screen shot was rejected because it wasn’t a jpg. I now attach it. I hope you can read it… you may have to increase the size.
I wonder why Avast rate the virus as High if it is Adware ?
No programmes were running that I know of. No browsers just the desktop and icons. What about programmes that run in the background ?
I will try Malwarebytes… thanks.
If you reply please allow me some sleep !! as it is 12.30am and I will get back to to you in the morning.
Best wishes,
Peter
