Win 7 slow at opening new windows

When I try to save a file the new window opens but it freezes up and I get the “not responding”.
I did a full scan on avast and ran the other scans suggested by you.

It froze up just now opening the window to add the attachments -sighs-

Thanks in advance,
Beatriz

Did I miss something or do something wrong?

My laptop still is slow at opening new system windows especially when I try to save a document or open one.

It took several minutes to save the log and several minutes to attach it here

Thanks for your help with this.

Which browser do you have this problem in ? Or is it all browsers

I use Chrome.

I find the issue when I try to open a folder in the library. Or when I save a picture or document into a new folder. The new window opens and I get the “wheel of death” and the (not responding) for at least 3 minutes. It started when I opened my program paint.net Since then I deleted it and all programs I don’t use. Chrome is working correctly with no hang ups.

Could you try IE and FF and see if the same problem occurs

I opened IE then I opened my library and I got the same issue, not responding for several minutes.

When you uninstalled paint.net did you also uninstall any of the net frameworks

I don’t know, I just uninstalled it from my control panel, like a normal uninstall.

Download Windows All In One Repair from Here to your desktop
Install the programme and run. Windows and Avast may try to block the programme but allow it to run as it is safe.
