Yepp… and since he is a smart guy and have a google account he would have a backup at the free google drive that comes with all google accounts … Or have you not done that?
@Asyn Thanks ;D
@Pondus Do I detect a overtone of Sarcasm?!

The big mail vendors like microsoft and Google give away cloud storage for free with a account, then there is dropbox and similar or just a USB stick, so you should have a backup plan just in case

You’re welcome.
@Pondus I agree, but that isn’t helping me getting this thing to boot.
@Asyn thanks anyway, but not much use because it won’t load windows
Anyone know how to get his thing to boot or of a way I delete the offending file before windows loads?
Follow the instructions in my link.
This same problem has happened on my Mum’s laptop. I had to do a system restore for her and it looks like the problem could be related to a recent windows update KB 2949927.
Is it actually stuck on aswrvrt.sys or, is that the last file it was able to verify
before getting stuck on the next file ???
