win anti virus pro 2007

Please download OTMoveIt by OldTimer. Save it to your desktop but don’t run it just yet.

Now open HijackThis again and click to Do a System Scan Only. When the scan is complete place a check mark next to these lines

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2432F099-F8E2-43C9-B765-3AF002FFC6A7} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ljjjghg.dll (file missing)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F0BAAC6C-49E2-4D33-9A74-F26A3E6D5E94} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mljgf.dll (file missing)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CD3447D4-CA39-4377-8084-30E86331D74C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkmofbkn.dll

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: ljjjghg - ljjjghg.dll (file missing)

The following lines load a program that verges on being spyware. I will leave it up to you whether to remove them (by placing a check next to them) or not. There are 2 that are identical:

O4 - HKLM..\Run: [LDM] C:\Program Files\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Program\backWeb-8876480.exe

O4 - HKLM..\Run: [LDM] C:\Program Files\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Program\backWeb-8876480.exe

After placing the check marks make sure all other windows are closed (including your browser) and click Fix Checked.

Next, double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
Copy the file path below to the clipboard by highlighting it and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkmofbkn.dll

Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the “Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved” window and choose Paste.
Click the red Moveit! button.
Copy everything on the Results window to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it on your next reply with a new Hijack log.
Close OTMoveIt
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

After posting both logs, download and install Java Runtime 6 Version 1 from here

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Then open Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall all versions of Java older than 6 Update 1.

EDIT: Do you recognize the link in this line

O16 - DPF: {CD995117-98E5-4169-9920-6C12D4C0B548} (HGPlugin9USA Class) - http://gamedownload (dot) ijjimax.com/gamedownload/dist/hgstart/HGPlugin9USA.cab

It looks suspicious and Dr. Web reports a possible malware downloader. It could be a false positive but I have broken the link in both posts just in case.

Thanks for the help, but I do not know that link.

Your log looks much better now. How is the computer running?

We just have a few more steps.

Open HJT this again and Do a System Scan Only. Place a check next to this line

O16 - DPF: {CD995117-98E5-4169-9920-6C12D4C0B548} (HGPlugin9USA Class) - http://gamedownload (dot) ijjimax.com/gamedownload/dist/hgstart/HGPlugin9USA.cab

and click Fix Checked.

Close HJT and click the Windows Start button, then click Run. Paste the following in the empty field and click OK

regsvr32 /u jkmofbkn.dll

Now download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to your desktop, Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Put a check mark in all the options except Prefetch and click Empty Selected. If you use Firefox or Opera click those tabs and clean them too (you might want to leave Saved Passwords unchecked).

Next, run a Complete System Scan with AVG AntiSpyware, putting in quarantine anything found (I just want to double check that no other malware was downloaded by Vundo before it was removed).

Then post a (last?) HJT log.

Hi i am not able to finish the avg anitspyware scan. I’m on my vacation without my comp. i will be back in acouple of days. and i will post the result. Thanks for the help.

Hi bubble. No problem, except I too will be on vacation and away from the forum for a week beginning tomorrow morning.

Assuming AVG comes up clean (or with infections it is able to clean), then these would be the final steps:

First, make sure the old Java has been uninstalled as this is what allowed Vundo to run in the first place. Then post the HJT log. If its clean, open OTMoveit again and click the Cleanup button - this will remove the tools we installed and the backups they made.

Then clear your old restore points and create a new, clean point:

  1. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories > System tools > System Restore
  2. In the dialog box that appears Click in the radio button to Create a Restore Point
  3. Click NEXT
  4. Enter a name you will remember if you need to find this again (like Clean Point)
  5. Click CREATE

You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:

  1. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories > System tools > Disk Clean Up
  2. Click OK on the C: drive
  3. Click the More Options tab
  4. In the System Restore section click the Clean Up button

Finally, you should consider installing a third party firewall. Here’s a link to Comodo (free), or you could try Zone Alarm or PC Tools Firewall instead

http://www.filehippo.com/download_comodo/

I’ll check your thread again when I return but I’m sure others will jump in if you have any further problems.

Hi here are my result for the avg antispyware:

I’m not sure if its clean, so i will wait on MOVEIT clean up, until you are back. Thanks so much

Hi bubble. Sorry for the delay - I extended the vacation a bit longer than I originally planned.

Anyway, as I’m sure you gathered from the lack of any comments on your HJT log it does look clean. But things can change over the course of a week so if you wouldn’t mind a fresh log would be good.

The items cleaned by AVG are not worrisome. The two in your System Volume were infected restore points and have been cleaned They would have been deleted by the procedure I posted to delete old restore points after creating a clean point, and we will still want to do that eventually.

The next line is just a Vundo file backup created by VundoFix. This would have been deleted by OTMoveIt.

And the cookies are trivial.

So please post a new HJT log and we’ll finish this up.
