Professionals at HP tech support ran a program called AOR 2011 and it said 413 registry errors, after I kept getting a print spool error from my printer, but they wanted 400.00 buck to install 4 programs to fix it, I said no, and came to you guys. I have ran the MBAM and my next post will have the log

Follow the instructions here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and post your OTS LOG.Just to make sure, everything is ok.
@Left man…you are a bit late ;D
Running the OTL scan now
been running the OTL now about 15 minutes or so, taking longer than I expected
If you have recently done a reinstall or service pack update it may take longer as it enumerates files added/modified within the last 30 days
ok, I did reformat and re-install last week, so Ill give it some more time, first scan Froze, completely locked up, trying it again now
If it locks again can you let me know at what point it is - there is an indicator on the bottom of the gui that states where it is
the OTL log
the Extras log
First off 450 “registry errors” is not a problem. The windows registry is quite robust and will happily handle a lot of orphan entries (which is all these are) quite happily.
Remove the wrong ones and say hello doorstep
OK I can see no malware and as it is a print spooler problem lets see if MS can fix it for you http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/printer-problems-in-windows
There is a fixit on the above page which I am lead to believe will work happily with XP
Otherwise , uninstall all your print drivers and initially use the MS ones. Then if you could let me know the make and model of the printer I will find the proper drivers
This is the aswMBR Log
ok will check the MS site, and the printer is an HP J3680 office jet, that I was just using yesterday, so I know its working properly
ok, ran the microsoft program, and it said that it recognized my printer but found no problems with it…UHHGGGG
As mentioned in your other post, try uninstalling the printer, disconnect it from the computer
reboot the computer and then try re-installing it again.
and yes, I do run Ccleaner daily, and this does not fix this particular problem…
I didn’t expect it to. Also not mentioned in my post.
Uninstall the current drivers
Reboot
Download the latest driver from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-79585-2&cc=uk&dlc=en&lc=en&os=228&product=3441026&sw_lang=
Connect the printer
Install the drivers
That should fix it
completely Uninstalled EVERYTHING to do with HP, and rebooted, then installed the software from the above link, and it still does the same thing
