Hi guys,
Is Win32:Adware-gen detected by Avast’s generic detection? What is it? I’ve been looking for its description but I haven’t found yet. Many AV programs missed this threat but luckily Avast found it.
Thanks.

I tend not to worry about what it is or what it does in detail (I just ensure it is a good detection as you have done), adware will download lots of ads or throw up pop-ups, possibly change the default search engine, etc.
There will always be a problem finding information as you can see 5 detections and multiple names, so you can use google for these names, however, you never mentioned the infected file name or its location and a search for the file name often brings up more information than a search for the malware name.
