Win32:Agent-EMT keeps popping up

OK, now I’ve got this trojan too and it’s not going away.

Some information might not go amiss, OS, etc.

Why isn’t it going away, what errors and or warnings ?
What have you tried, please list and don’t just say everything ?

ok my problem is exactly the same
i want to ad that whenever the avast message comes my computer tries to read the A: floppy drive.
I deleted it and moved it to the chest several times with avast!
i used ad-aware
then i downlaoded AVG Anti-Spyware 7,5
it deteected the files, quarantined it
and the problem was solved
now there’s no MDM.exe in windows, and no messages
however now the problem is that
ill now, I think, everything is fine. however, now the problem is that when i open my computer, if i double-click on the "disks with removable storage’ or ‘files stored on this computer’ folders it opens fine. However when i double click the “Hard Disk Drives” an open with window comes up. If i right click it. i don’t see open or open with or explore, instead i see something like an apostrophe an ‘o’ a upside down question mark an a in superscript, and a (0).

i want to ad that whenever the avast message comes my computer tries to read the A: floppy drive.
See image.

You shouldn’t click on the Devices with removable storage, unless you have a floppy or CD/DVD in the drive. I can’t see the purpose of doing this from my computer, when you really should be using Windows Explorer, what is it you are trying to achieve ?

It is disabled, but that’s not the problem
Everything till now, I think is fine except for this:

Exactly same here. Trend Micro has helped in removing the Trojan, but the extension problem remains just like above.

hi i have also the same problem i tried every thing but i did not succed can any one helps me

i got the solution from someone, so I thought I’ll post it here. Beacause all people tell you to do is download tons and tons of anti-malware
So here’s the solution:

Get NOD32 or AVG-Antispyware latest version and update it.

It should catch a memory resident virus once it starts.

Close the warning message and restart the system.

This should get rid of the virus, now to fix the system.

Open a dos window and type the following command:
attrib -R -S -H D:\Autorun.inf
where D: is your partition.

Now delete the autorun.inf file from D: drive by

D:
del Autorun.inf

Open task manager and kill the process “explorer.exe”
Click File>New Task and write explorer.exe and press enter, your desktop should re-appear.

Go to My Computer and double click the drive you want to open. It should work properly now. Repeat the same procedure for any other partition that gives the Open with list when double clicked.

It solved the problem for me.

Many thankx apples and to everyone who tried to help. Apples your solution was right on target. Thankx
