My friends are all infected with what avast calls Win32:agent-QJ [Trj]. I cannot find much on this specific version nor can it be fully removed from my friends infected machine. He has scanned several times only for it to continue working. Is the a guide to manually uninstall this?
Anytime you have a “trojan”, it is best to 1st try a program
that “specializes” in detecting & removing trojans, worms,
etc . If your friends Operating Systems is/are Win XP or
Win 2000, try the good & FREE “Ewido” available at
www.ewido.net/en . There’s a “tutorial” at :

Hi Warrior,
This Trojan didn’t seem to be too difficult to remove before:

Have you tried a boot time scan with avast!?
Do this and run the anti-Trojan programs that Spiritsongs suggests and it should be removed.
