Hi Richard,

‘Agent’ is a fairly generic name and doesn’t tell us very much: we need the name and location of the detected file- you can find this information in the avast! log.

9/05/2008 6:49:25 p.m. Richard Scott 1192 Sign of “Win32:KillAV-EU [trj]” has been found in “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\kfdol.sys” file.

Sorry

Here is the log file ::slight_smile:

Thanks. The file names seem to be random so don’t tell us very much.

Have you tried a boot time scan with avast!? Right click the scanner screen, select ‘schedule a boot time scan’ and reboot when requested.

Have you tried any anti-spyware products? Here are a few free scanners you could try:

Ad-Aware Free
Spybot Search & Destroy
SUPERAntiSpyware Free

(Download, install and update the programs. Disconnect from the internet (pull the plug) before running scans in Safe Mode if possible.

Always select the option to quarantine any malware found rather than delete it, then you will be able to restore files or registry entries wrongly identified as malware- a rare but not unknown event for any malware scanner.)

If still having problems, please post a HijackThis! log.

Thank you for your help, I have tried Spybot and this found some.

I will go through the list of things you have given and see how I get on, I will post any results to help all

no better, all the anti spywares would freeze after a bit

If still having problems, please post a HijackThis! log.
