Win32:BProtect-J and BITACD8D-tmp help

Hi. For the past couple days, every time I log onto my computer, Avast randomly tells me that it blocked a harmful webpage or malware called Win32:BProtect-J, but doesn’t say that it removed it or anything. Immediately afterward, it tells me that it found another threat, BITACD8D-tmp, and moved it to the chest. This has happened over and over again. I’m not sure what the cause of this is, or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: Sorry, I was mistaken, the second one is actually called BITACD8D.tmp, not BITACD8D-tmp.

It is adware, let me know if this cures it

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Hi, thank you for your quick response. I followed your instructions and I hope it worked. I attached the file AdwCleaner[S0].txt to this post like you instructed. Please let me know if I did, indeed, remove whatever it was that was causing this (assuming you can tell from the log file)! Thank you!

Well lets run a check to ensure it has all gone

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Select additions at the bottom
[*]Press Scan button.

[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please attach both logs generated.
