Win32:Crypt-RQA Removal

Hello,

I am trying to remove Win32:Crypt-RQA after doing a avast scan on my computer. I tried having avast delete the virus and then move it to the chest but nothing worked. I also didn’t want to do anything to mess up my computer anymore. I read through the other post about this subject and I will attach the logs I got. I tried to access the C:\System Volume Information files but it would not let me. I am a little confused about all the technical stuff 'cause I have no real computer skills, so some detailed help would be appreciated. If I am missing anything if someone could let me know what you need and how to get you what you need so that someone can help me

thank you

edit: sorry noticed the typo

C:\System Volume Information
Located in a restore point ...... turn off system restore, reboot computer, turn on system restore

Now it should be gone?

A malware expert will review your logs when online tomorrow

It is registering on a Norton definition file

Download and then run the Norton removal tool first https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us

THEN

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

CreateRestorePoint: AppInit_DLLs-x32: c:\programdata\hhsetup32.dll => "c:\programdata\hhsetup32.dll" File Not Found CHR HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google: Policy restriction <======= ATTENTION BHO-x32: No Name -> {0E8A89AD-95D7-40EB-8D9D-083EF7066A01} -> No File Toolbar: HKLM - No Name - {CC1A175A-E45B-41ED-A30C-C9B1D7A0C02F} - No File EmptyTemp: CMD: bitsadmin /reset /allusers

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/73555776/FRSTfix.JPG

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

Hello,

I have done what you asked, but I did notice in the other post with the same problem that FRST.exe was saved to the desktop…I hadn’t done that. I saved it to the desktop and reran it before Norton was uninstalled, I don’t know if that makes a difference. I am including that log and the log produced after I uninstalled Norton.
The log for the rerun is labelled FRST.2 and the one ran after the fixlist is labelled FRST2ndlog.

Thank you

OK now a final tidy up, you will still get the alerts on system volume information until we reset your restore points.

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
