i just scanned my CPU a little while a go and i got two infected sections in my system
1, in '‘c\programfiles/onlineservice\Bt Yahoo\HP Pre 05.msi\Data1.lab or cab\btweb control dll’'file.
2, the volume system info.
and every time i delete the following info comes up[ the operation is not supported for this type of archive] so i really don’t know what to do and i also use windows XP.
thanks for that take a bit off my mind what about the [ system volume info\rester[D5341f9c-33f7-43cf-8bd2]. am not sure but i think it might be seriouse.
As a workaround, you can add the BT file to the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning) exclusion list.
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize. Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…
You can use wildcards like * and ?. But be carefull, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in danger.
After that, please, periodically check it - scan it into Chest, right clicking the file - there should still be a copy in the chest even though you restored it to the original location. When it is no longer detected as being infected then you can also remove it from the Exclusion list.
