Win32:Diamin-DJ [Trj]

Help me! I use win98 SE. In safe mode avast has found a Win32:Diamin-DJ [Trj] in win386.swp file. I cancelled it, but if reboot my pc, in safe mode win386.swp is infected too. If I scan my pc in normal mode avast process win386.swp as 0,0 Mb and tell me that file isn’t infected instead. I don’t know what I must do. I have did a scan with kaspersky antivirus and it don’t find virus. How Can I remove this Trojan? :cry:

By the symptoms, I think this could be a false positive.
Which is the size of this file?

As a workaround, you can add these files to the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning) exclusion list.
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize. Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button… When it is no longer detected as being infected then you can remove it from the Exclusion list.

This link is a tutorial on how to help correct a virus detection that you believe to be false:

Hi danmat,

Here you find the particular cleansing routine whenever there is no FP:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=9805
Check it for a second op, but my first hunch is Like Tech replied a FP.

polonus

Win386.swp is 239.616 kb

I scanned a copy of win386.swp in normal mode:
avast ------> infected
kaspersky scan online -------> no infected
panda ant. scan online ---------> no infected
so, Is it a FP?

Most probably…

Hi danmat!
