Win32:Evo-gen[Susp] when updating Windows

Hi,

Lately, I receive message from avast antivirus whenever I try to update Windows. To be precise, the message is shown when the downloaded Windows update files are being installed. The infection is “Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]” and the process is “C:\WIndows\servicing\TrustedInstaller.exe”. WHat should I do?

Win32:Evo-gen[Susp] = suspicious … probably because the files are new

in the action to take droppdown menu … what options do you have there? … do you see ignore?

There are:

  1. Fix automatically
  2. Move to chest
    3, delete
  3. Block
  4. repair

If they are in the winsxs folder then ignore them, you will not see them again when the updates have finished installing
