Avast is detecting a new exe file *****.tmp.exe every 5 to 10 min when i am connected to internet.
It is not allowing the file to get executed.But i am not able to find the source…
Please help me…I am not in a state of formatting my hard drive…
The files are found in “C:\windows\TEMP*****.tmp.exe”

Please download HijackThis from the link below, run the program but do not make any fixes, and then post the log results in this thread using the “copy & paste” method. It will probably take more than one post to be able to get the complete log posted. Someone will review your log and then offer help.

i could solve the problem…
there was some file in system32 folder…
just deleted it PROBLEM GONE 
WHAT ELSE DO U USE ALONG WITH AVAST…(CharleyO). ??? is it …spybot ,spyware terminator etc…
i am using only just avast for the past 3 years for protection
I use SpyBot - Search & Destroy as my resident with teatimer active and I also have Spyware Terminator without it’s resident as a backup scanner. Do you have a firewall? Windows firewall is not quite good enough for outbound preotection. I use ZA free but there are other firewalls that are free.
