Yea, I didn’t think you were going to say avast, it was more all the other programs I was curios about.

One more thing though, what should I do with the items in my Virus Chest now? I’ve got the two files this thread was about, I’ve mailed them to avast under “False Positive” like you said and I uninstalled AVS, so should I just delete them? Also I’ve got two “B.exe” files in there from the first problem I had and made a thread about, I already used the send to avast option on them like someone suggested, should I delete them from the chest now though?

Well you only need to look at my signature to give you an idea, you can get too much of a good thing and security software is one area. You can end up a slave to them, having to keep them up to date (or they aren’t worthwhile) and run periodic scans.

Don’t delete them from the chest (but do so from the suspect folder) and periodically scan within the chest, when no longer detected you know the FP has been corrected. However, in this case where you don’t use the program and have uninstalled it, it won’t hurt to remove them. I would just follow through the actions of confirming they are no longer detected as if this were a different program or file to shoe the process works.

Ok, will do, and thanks very much for the help.

You’re welcome.
