Link 2

Notes:

  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

Thank you really much for the help! I don´t get the warnings anymore.

I´m just wondering if Combofix did it´s job as it was supposed to? It scanned my computer and wanted a restart. After the restart my Avast scanner and Comodo firewall started. Comodo started to ask a million questions while Combofix was doing something. Then CF just disappeared.

Allso there´s still some problems with Windows security center. It says it´s turned off and when I push the “turn on” button it just starts thinking and that´s it. It won´t start.

I attached the Combofix log.

Combofix appears to have done its job of replacing an active infected file, that is why it needed to reboot. That and the OTL fix before it are what stopped the avast warnings.

Essexboy will confirm this when he is back on-line later today (a few hours), now 12.07pm in the UK. He will also address the other issue with WSC.

Combofix failed to complete, could you please re-run it and ensure that Comodo is disabled

Then attach the new combofix log

Followed by

run farbar service scanner

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/FSS.GIF

Tick “All” options.
Press “Scan”.
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.

Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Thanks for the help!

ComboFix did finnish this time. I´ve attached the two logs.

How is the computer now any problems ?

No sign of any malware anymore.

One problem is that Microsoft security essentials gives the error code 0x8007064e at startup. Maybe this is because I have Comodo firewall and Avast virus security?

The other problem, which is really annoying, is that sometimes when i resume the computer from sleep it just freezes. Or the mouse works and everything seems fine but the starbar is totally dead and nothing responds to the mouse (the mouse is not dead). I can go to the ctrl + alt + del screen and when I press task manager button it just goes back to where it was. The only thing that helps is a power off by holding the power button pressed.

There is a known sleep problem that occurs on some systems (windows problem) I will have a rummage to see what I can find
Could you run the MSFixit on this page and let me know if it cures the problem

Thanks super much for the help!!

Seems like my computer is working again

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee362/Essexboy3/Misc%20screen%20shots/CF_Uninstall-1.jpg

[]Follow the prompts on the screen
[
]A message should appear confirming that ComboFix was uninstalled

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that

[*]Select folder options (Appearance > Folder options in category view)
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[
]Click OK.
