Otl logs

Please do not make any further changes to your machine now that you have provided the logs.

  1. Also, please let us know what browser you are using when you get these pop-ups. Do they happen in more than one browser?

  2. Now that you ran MBAM, is your machine acting differently?

  3. How is your machine acting otherwise?

I am going to refer you to our Certified Malware expert, named Essexboy. He will also review your logs and give you further instructions, however he comes on the forum late UK time. He will respond to you in this thread, so remember to check this thread daily.

IMPORTANT: If you are on a home network, disconnect the affected machine from the network. Do not share a USB/flash drive with this affected machine. Do not use this machine unless Essexboy or another malware removal specialist instructs you do to malware removal instructions; use a different machine to check email, sync your phone or other devices.

Let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.

At the moment i’m using chrome but the pop-ups appear also using firefox. The machine is not acting differently and even after i ran malwarebytes and spybot i keep getting pop-ups

I have all the logs I need at the moment. I have already notified the malware removal specialist (Essexboy) and he will give you further instructions. You have a rootkit along with other problems, so please do not use your machine.

But please answer the questions I asked in my previous post as this will help Essexboy.

  1. I’m using chrome but the same pop-ups appear with firefox too
2.even after running mbam and spybot the problem persists
  2. The machine is acting as usual. Nothing wrong apart from the pop-ups

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/OTL_Fix.GIF

:Files ipconfig /flushdns /c C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_32\Desktop.ini C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_64\Desktop.ini C:\Windows\Installer\{145cf821-83fa-7cd4-4508-5eaff23fb6bd}

:Commands

[Reboot]

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top

On completion of this can you let me know what problems remain

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
FCopy: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-s..s-servicecontroller_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_2b54b20ee6fa07b1\services.exe|c:\windows\system32\Services.exe
Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

OK that did not work either… Meanwhile lets do something different

First download the MS fixit here to your desktop http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798
Then run … we will need to run it a second time later

Then click the Globe under my Avatar
That will take you to my Skydrive
There is a services.exe file there
Download that and save it to your C drive i.e. C:\services.exe

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
FCopy:: C:\services.exe|c:\windows\system32\Services.exe
Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exeWhen finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
  2. Do not “re-run” Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.
