Win32:malware-gen

Yesterday I received an Avast message that I had a virus: Win32:Malware-gen. I reran a complete scan with Avast, downloaded SuperAntiSpyWare and ran a scan and neither found anything. I then called Dell, from whom I bought the computer two months ago. After two hours on the phone with them, them printed out the following sentence from a Hijack This log and said that I had a spyware problem that they could fix for $129! Can someone tell me if I really have a problem and whether I need them to fix it?

O4 - HKLM..\RunOnce: [Launcher] C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\Components\scheduler\Launcher.exe
Kind
Must be fixed! Spyware component related to DownloadWare and found in Program FilesKFH

O4 - HKLM..\RunOnce: [Launcher] C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\Components\scheduler\Launcher.exe Looks likes a perfectly genuine entry. I take it the alert from Avast related to another file !
