Win32:Malware-gen

Hi,
Avast started bugging me with pop up windows 2 days ago. It says it found a Win32:Malware-gen in D:\windows\system32\awwvwt.dll and deleted the file. But it still keeps repeating this message over and over again. It seems the process responsible for this is D:\windows\system32\lsass.exe. I have searched the internet for clues on how to solve this problem, tried several scanners for malware and virus removal, and nothing. Tried the avast scanner too, of course. Is there a way to solve this problem? Avast seems to delete the file containing the virus, but not the one who keeps creating this file.

Thank you for your time,
Sara Millen

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

Don’t worry about reported tracking cookies they are a minor issue and not one of security, allow SAS to deal with them though. - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.
Also available a portable version of SAS, http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html, no installation required.
