I have been attacked by this virus yesterday. I read that this spyware steals your identity and your private information. The virus was fortunately blocked by avast! and it ended up in the virus chest. After I eliminated the virus I scanned twice the system to make sure that the nasty win32: malware-gen was gone. Avast! said twice that everything was alright. Am I safe now? I sometimes buy stuff on this pc and I don’t want some hacker steal information and get my money. How can I know that I have infected files or if my pc is infected? What happens if win32: malware-gen infects my pc?

What was the name and location of the file detected…
If you want a check inside, attach Malwarebytes and OTL logs … you find the guide at top in this forum section
