Ran Avast scan and came up with the above in C:\Program Files\Anti-Virus Elite woth a file size of 1711776, and which I hv not used in some time. Prior to the scan I tried to uninstall this anti virus but was unable to do so. It is now in the virus chest. I also still have the icon on the desktop. Can I safely delete this file from the chest? Will it delete all of the files related to this antivirus?
googling the file name, lots of info, everything from a bogus AV program to adware
can it be uninstalled from ad/remove programs… you may have to restore it first
if not then let avast and malwarebytes remove what they find
