Hi to all,
Ive been with Avast a while now and fortunatley have avoided an infected PC.
However this evening I have found the above virus infecting the following file, bdl14025.exe.
I have ran the Avast virus cleaner without success, the virus remains, and despite puttting file in virus chest, the virus still remains.
Can anyone out there tell me 1. How to remove the virus,- 2. Should I remove / delete from chest - will this work?
Help please.
If I am correct, the file you have is a bundler of XXX Toolbar.
Could you provide the path to the file? Are there anymore files infected?
What version of VPS are you currently using?
I also have a sample of Revop on my computer and it seems it is downloaded by a malware downloader. :-\
Hi,
I am fairly new to all this virus stuff, so unsure about the ‘path to the file’?
It would appear that the given file - bdl14025.exe, is the only file affected.
Iam currently using the current version of VPS - 04250.
In the image, you see G:\EICAR\04BE~1.COM as the filename.
The path will be the text before the filename.
Filename = 04BE~1.COM
G:\EICAR\04BE~1.COM - 04BE~1.COM =
G:\EICAR, Path = G:\EICAR\ or G:\EICAR
Hi,
ok, as per example, the file name reads…
C: / Documents and settings/chris/locals/temp int.
And this is repeated on all three desk top users , replacing my name [chris] with the appropriate user name.
Any help, it is keep popping up and becoming most annoying, is it feasible, and how do I get rid of it , and will it have any effect.
It should be safe to delete files that are located in the Temp folder unless you know they are important.
C:\Documents and Settings"Username"\Local Settings\Temp
is the temp folder used by Windows to store temporary stored files.
It is also recommended that you scan your whole computer for any infections as it seems to me that a downloader has downloaded Revop on your computer.
