Win32:Sirefef-zt & -pl found

This is what my avast is detecting and moving to the virus chest:

Win32:malware-gen, Win32:ZAcess-pb, & Win32:Trojan-gen detected and moved to virus chest

other programs say I have: Win32:Sirefef-zt & Win32:Sirefef-pl

I have attached my mbam-log, adwclean log

Thanks,

Sunnie

Attach OTL logs please.

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

as already stated, we need the OTL diagnostic log…
and since this is a zeroaccess rootkit we also need the aswMBR. rootkit diagnostic log

here is the OTL Log and the extras log if needed

also here is the aswmbr and I’m not sure where to find the rootkit diag. log

Is there anything else I need to include?

not yet…now wait for the removal expert

Let me know what problems remain after this

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

The first log that came up was the 03252013_230730 after I copied & pasted what you requested. Then the next log is after I ran the OTL quick scan. Then the combofix log.

How is the computer behaving now ?

Everything appears to be normal as far as running witl no virus alerts now. Thank You sir for your help It is much appreciated  I have one more question I noticed that the conduit toolbar has made it to my computer as well I have disabled it on Google chrome and explorer anyway to get rid of all of it all together?

Thanks Again

I can remove it for you before I remove my tools if you wish

Run an OTL scan and ensure all users is selected

OK… that be great unfourtunely I had to go to work till this evening so it will be after 10:30-11:00pm central time. I can run the OTL

No problem

Work took way longer then I thought sorry. I ran OTL again I’m assuming you need the log that produced at the end so I have attached it. Now as I have attached it my Avast has gone off with a Malware alert moved to the virus chest. It reads mediaconsoverlays.dll . Infection: win32:Malware-gen. moved to virus chest. In: program files (x86)…/chrome.exe. It seems like it never ending

I am seeing no sign of conduit on the logs… Where are you seeing it

Also I would recommend you uninstall the mega codec pack you have and replace it with one from this list http://majorgeeks.com/geek_search.html?cx=partner-pub-6960825562757852%3Ar7irnq-hn6c&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=codec+pack

Unfortunately … And this is only my opinion … I have found that Firefox and Chrome are more prone to being suborned than IE

Have you had any further alerts ?

Conduit was on there before I got the other stuff. I didn’t even know there was a mega codec pack installed on my computer and were do I find it to replace it with what you suggesting?. I had another family member in my house that used my computer I’m assuming this is were all them stemed from which I have no put a stop to. The most recent alert I got was yesterday and now today for the win32:malware-gen that was blocked I have attached new logs I just ran a few minutes ago. When I ran the OTL program I didn’t get an extras log this time like I did the last.

The rest of the logs that wouldn’t fit on last post. Thank You for taking the time to help me it is very much appreciated.

This is the pack I was talking about C:\Program Files (x86)\Mega Codec Pack there should be an entry for it in the control panel > Programs and Features section

All the logs look good, how is the computer behaving ?

I’m still getting the win32:malware-gen when I scan my computer. I have attached a picture of my avast if this helps & a picture of what is in my programs and features I don’t see any codec but very possible I’m looking in the wrong place. I wish I was more computer knowledgeable.
