Hi, i am mainly posting this since I freak out about everything and was really worried. The other night was dling stuff and I trusted stuff blah blah blah anyways I was worried so I schedualed a boot scan with avast. When I saw that 2 things were infected with win32: Somoto-F. I was hoping everything got cleared up when the scan found the stuff I told it to delete the stuff. I guess I’m really paranoided but I just wanted to get some feebback that everything is good since this computer has alot that I could lose on it.
Never delete always put things in the virus chest.
Delete = no recourse
Virus Chest = putting things in a safe place with the chance to recover if it’s a false positive.

Since you chose to delete the file, it’s impossible to give you further information.

Without the file name and location it isn’t possible to even speculate ?
Was there a PUP suffix in the detection ?
e.g. win32:somoto-F [pup] as this Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) may or may not be as serious as you might think. PUPs can be tools/programs which can be used for good or evil, depending who installed it, etc. to determine why it might be considered a PUP we would need the information asked for.
