Any ideas how to remove this. Its in my System Volume Information file or something and I think deleteing it may screw my computer up.
Welcome to the forum.
If it’s just your system restore do the following.
Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.
Click Create a restore point, and then click Next.
In the text box labeled Restore Point Description, type a name for this restore point , click create
Remove old restore points
Disk Cleanup
- Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories, Launch the Disk Cleanup tool, let it run. When it finishes a box with tabs will appear, select the more options tab. On this tab you will find a section for System Restore. If you press the Clean Up button for that section, Windows will delete all restore points except for the most recent one.
First deletion isn’t really a good first option (you have none left), ‘first do no harm’ don’t delete, send virus to the chest and investigate.
Nothing in the System Volume Information should screw your system as it is a back-up of certain item that you have moved or deleted from the system folders, etc.
So cleaning it out as oldman suggests is fine.
