1. Its never a good idea to simply leave something on your computer, because you don’t think it is doing any harm. How do you know what it is doing!! you don’t.

  2. Moving it to the chest whilst you investigate it is the safest option. Google check saap.exe and New Wave and see what comes up.

  3. avast won’t just throw it up for no reason and like Eddy I don’t think it is a false positive, but that can be checked at: Jotti - Multi engine on-line virus scanner www.virusscan.jotti.dhs.org if any other scanners here detect them it is less likely to be a false positive.

  4. If you send it to avast you may get confirmation that it is indeed a virus, I don’t but they would undertake to fix a trojan file and send it back. Trojan files are not repairable as they haven’t infected a file on your system.
