Win32:Trojan-gen{other} OSCust.exe.vir

The name of the virus is OSCust.exe.vir, should I delete this or just keep it in the virus chest?

I scanned it while it was still in the chest so here’s what came up if it means anything.

Scanning of selected files

Program will try to scan 1 selected file(s) in the Chest

Move files to temporary folder: C:\Users\Andres\AppData\Local\Temp_avast4_\unp68233716.tmp
FileID: 0000000004 Original file name: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\moved\OSCust.exe.vir New folder: C:\Users\Andres\AppData\Local\Temp_avast4_\unp68233716.tmp\4.vir

Scan files in the temporary folder: C:\Users\Andres\AppData\Local\Temp_avast4_\unp68233716.tmp
C:\Users\Andres\AppData\Local\Temp_avast4_\unp68233716.tmp\4.vir Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}

Action was completed successfully!

Yeah when I first found it while running a full scan, it accidentally moved it to another folder and then to the chest…

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated! :wink:

Keep it in the chest for (let’s say) a week. If the system keeps working fine, delete it.

You could try also sending it to Avast from the chest.
Scan it again before deleting it for confirmation of the status. There is no hurry to delete it, except for from the “housekeeping” standpoint.

Well I had it for about a month now, also I heard this is only found in alienware computers after doing a google search.

I’ll just delete it then.
